Yukino Miyazawa was at the top of her class, and the perfect model student. Her grades and attitude matched, both being top of her class... However, she hides a secret. At home, she's completely different. She wears old sweat suits, acts completely opposite of her image at school, and studies like mad to be at the top of her class. Why does she need to be at the top? Praise. She loves it, and was getting it. But then, she met Souichiro Arima. Arima, also at the top of the class, suddenly appears, and threatens Yukino's seat as the best student in the school. After several incidents, Arima confesses his love for Yukino, and then discovers her secret. This sets them on an incredible journey of making new friends, and growing throughout their lives at school. This romance/comedy is a wonderful breath of fresh air for those who wish to see a pure romance, with laughs along the way, of course.
